This Northwest Austin kitchen remodel in the Avery Ranch neighborhood included a complete cabinet replacement along with new quartz countertops, backsplash, sink, floating shelves, hardware, and modifications to the existing island area.

Our team removed the old kitchen cabinets and island before preparing the space for the new design. Because the original flooring did not extend underneath the old island, we installed matching tile in the exposed area and added a new floor outlet before installing the new kitchen.

The finished remodel features new Timber shaker kitchen cabinets, 3cm Siberian Frost quartz countertops, a new farmhouse sink, floating shelves, new cabinet hardware, and Arizona Tile S-Series Soft Sage Glossy Scallop Mesh backsplash.

The existing Avery Ranch kitchen had an established footprint, but the cabinets and finishes were ready for a complete update. Removing the old cabinetry and island gave us the opportunity to install an entirely new cabinet system while also addressing flooring and electrical details that had previously been hidden beneath the island.

The completed kitchen has a completely different look while maintaining a clean, functional design. New Timber shaker cabinets establish the foundation of the space, while Siberian Frost quartz countertops provide a bright surface across the new cabinetry.

Replacing the Existing Kitchen Cabinets and Island

This project involved more than simply swapping out cabinets. After removing the existing island, we discovered the flooring did not continue underneath it. We installed matching tile in the exposed area so the flooring would be properly finished before the new kitchen was installed.

We also added a floor outlet as part of the island-area modifications. Taking care of flooring and electrical work before the new cabinetry was installed allowed these details to be integrated into the remodel rather than treated as afterthoughts.

New Timber Shaker Kitchen Cabinets

The old cabinetry was replaced with new Timber shaker cabinets. Shaker-style cabinet doors provide a clean profile that works especially well with the other materials selected for this Northwest Austin kitchen.

Siberian Frost Quartz Countertops & Farmhouse Sink

New 3cm Siberian Frost quartz countertops were installed throughout the kitchen and paired with a new farmhouse sink. The lighter countertop surface creates contrast against the Timber shaker cabinetry and helps connect the cabinet finish with the backsplash and surrounding finishes.

Soft Sage Scallop Tile Backsplash

The backsplash adds one of the most distinctive design elements in the finished kitchen. Arizona Tile S-Series Soft Sage Glossy Scallop Mesh combines a muted green color with a raised scallop shape, adding both color and dimension behind the countertops.

Floating shelves provide an open break in the cabinetry and allow the Soft Sage backsplash to remain visible, while new cabinet hardware completes the kitchen's updated design.
